A Season To Give

#GivingTuesday2017
It’s Giving Tuesday and a perfect time to look back at our previous mission and look forward at our new mission starting today. Most recently you helped us send $975.00 to the Houston Food Bank where each $1 donation provided 3 meals for those that were in need after the devastation left from Hurricane Harvey, that’s 2,925 meals you were all a part of!! We can’t thank you all enough.

Today through the winter months, we start a new mission.

Stems Market is working to help provide students in the Wyoming School District with essential hygiene products. We are collecting products and funds to purchase items for distribution to Attic After School (a Wyoming based after school program that works directly with Wyoming teens) and through the Counselors at Wyoming Public High School.

These necessary hygiene products are not covered by SNAP and are often a privilege not a necessity in many homes. This leaves countless teens without the products they need to feel healthy, clean, and confident.

Our goal is donate enough items to these organizations that they can offer not only a one-time emergency fix, but rather provide a longer-term supply, a few months at least to teens who currently do not have the privilege of consistent hygiene products available to them.

What can you do?

Stop by Stems Market and add your cash donations to our “TIP JAR”. Every penny donated will go for the purchase of these hygiene products and to the students in need  within Wyoming Park’s Schools District. Stems Market will help get started by matching the first $250.00 donated.

Secondly, Stop in to Stems Market with a hygiene product from the list below and we will pass them on.

  • Tooth Brushes
  • Tooth Paste
  • Deodorant
  • Shampoo
  • Conditioner
  • Menstrual Health Products (pads or tampons)
  • Laundry Detergent

Help Us Help Houston

Houston Needs our Help! The images of devastation left by Harvey that we see online and on our televisions are riveting and heart breaking. Its easy to feel helpless as you watch family after family devastated by this natural disaster. In the mist of the heartbreak we also see acts of heroism, compassion and brotherly […]

We Need Your Help.

Many of you may have seen the Tip Vase on our counter. As it has continued to grow we have thought about spending it a thousand ways. We have contemplated spending it on things like a company pizza party, or even holding an online contest for youth groups or sports groups to guess how much money is in the vase to win a pizza party for their group. We might do that someday, BUT TODAY WE HAVE A DIFFERENT MISSION.
